Dael is passionate about yoga and has been teaching yoga for twenty years but practicing yoga since attending classes with her mother from the age of 16. Initially training with Friends in Yoga in WA in 2000, then studying with the Desikachar family over the years and completing a five year Yoga Therapy training with the Krishnamacharya Healing & Yoga Foundation (KHYF) run through the Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram (KYM) in Chennai. Through the years her yoga journey has encompassed many schools of yoga, including Integral at the Beacon Yoga Centre, Iyengar yoga, Om Kara Kriya with Dr Jon Mumford, Ashtanga yoga with Monica Gauci and Gregor Maehle at 8 Limbs Yoga, and Yoga in the Tradition of Krishnamacharya as taught by Sri TKV Desikachar (Krishnamacharya’s son) and many wonderful teachers around the world now. She recently completed a two year Certification in iRest® Yoga Nidra and a two year Vedic Chant Teacher Training Course with Debby Badger and Radha Sundararajan at Indi House, Brighton, Melbourne. Dael is a Registered Senior Teacher, Level 3 with Yoga Australia, a registered Yoga Australia Yoga Therapist and a member of IAYT (International Association of Yoga Therapists). Dael’s way of teaching is a form of Hatha yoga linking asanas (poses) with the breath and is appropriate for most people as poses can be adapted for the individual. Linking body, breath and mind brings us to a state of yoga!
